For TJFF, we created a multimedia campaign, including a simple, impactful print ad that clearly linked film and Judaism together. So clear, in fact, that even the gentiles got it. Many thanks to Philip Rostron for shooting this.

Menorapp

Menorapp

With the Hot Docs Film Fest going on a week prior, we gave this handout to Jews and non-Jews alike waiting in line. By scanning the code, they could download the Menorapp – a menorah flashlight app. Tap the screen once to turn the flames off. Tap it again to turn the flames back on. Oh, and it had a full film schedule built-in.

There’s a perception that TJFF films are strictly for Jews. That’s bupkis. To show this, we have a rabbi taking on different roles across many different genres, with a few classic scenes thrown in the mix. For an extra degree of difficulty, we shot it in one take. Oy vey did we schvitz.
